COURSE DESCRIPTION
ADVANCED – advanced tasks or the cream of the crop in games!
After laying down the foundations, participants in the workshop can personalize their training to learn how to connect previously learned skills and expand their knowledge. They will gain insight into several formations through brief theory sessions that may occur at higher levels, and then they will learn them during practice. The more complex tasks provide the essence of treibball, as this is where it is determined whether our dog is genuinely controllable!
Furthermore, we will address how to teach your dog to confidently direct the ball to the gate from greater distances, and how to increase expectations so that he can roll up to 3 balls without reward.
Participants will learn why and how it is beneficial to develop a more complex course and how to explain it to their dogs step by step. They will receive gift course designs for at-home practice.
By the end of the second day, you will understand how to connect three-ball courses and with regular practice, even run with your dog from a greater distance.
EXAMINATION OPPORTUNITY
All workshop participants – including viewers – have the opportunity to upload a test video in which they perform the advanced training tasks with their dog. Every owner who submits a video will receive feedback and, in the case of a successful test, a certificate.
THE GAME ADVANCED corresponds to the second module of our THE TRAINER training program!
To participate in the workshop, it is necessary to complete (and have a successful exam video) our basic training program called THE GAME – START or THE ONLINE GAME – START, as the ADVANCED theme builds on it.
There is no age limit, but the owner must be aware that the physical capacity of a young dog may not be the same as that of an adult, and it may happen that if we notice that the dog is tired, we will ask you to let it rest for a while.
During breaks, we recommend that the dogs rest in their crates.
Sick or injured dogs, as well as females in heat, are not allowed to participate in the workshop.
Kozák Enikő
Treibball Training Leader
My name is Enikő Kozák, the creator and founder of Treibball Training. I have been working as a dog school leader for 10 years, with a focus on family dog training. Many dog owners enjoy working with their dogs even after completing the courses, but we have found that many dog sports require a large time and energy investment from the owner before any results can be seen. As a former obedience competitor, I used to hold obedience training at the school, but due to the lengthy preparation for competition, the motivation of the owners often waned. This is not the case with Treibball!
Another important aspect was that Treibball provided an amazing activity for my aging dog, which was not too strenuous for her to participate in.
I first encountered Treibball in Budapest in April 2014, where I participated as a translator in a seminar held by Bärbl Rungaldier. I really liked the sport and started working on what I had learned at home. My enthusiastic students helped me a lot in experimenting on how to transmit knowledge to the owners in a thematic form. I am very grateful to them for entrusting themselves to me, as online courses or competitions were not yet available at that time. You can often see Juno on our website, as she was the one who started and taught me this sport. She showed me what to do differently and what the correct direction was.
Today, we have developed a training that is easily transferable and accessible to the owner. Treibball is not a sport that requires a lot of equipment, so owners can practice at home with just a few balls, which helps with their dog’s development.
Thanks to COVID-19, we found the first online Treibball competitions in 2020, where we achieved great results. The dogs developed a lot during this period, and I became more and more enthusiastic about the sport, as it was so much fun to play with more people.
In 2021, a handful of very enthusiastic owners with their puppies arrived at the school almost at the same time. They definitely wanted to continue working with their dogs and started attending Treibball training. They developed so quickly that in 2022, we participated in the European Championship in Prague, where we won two European Champion titles.
My goal is to allow as many dog owners as possible to try and fall in love with this wonderful sport, as it opens up incredible horizons in the relationship between dogs and humans. With our training, we aim to deliver the knowledge and experience we have gathered over the years in a quality manner.
We warmly welcome you to join us.
